Month 6 Milestones

Cassidy is over 16 lbs (although she seems heavier when we carry her) and 70.5 cm long. She is growing!

This month, she began blowing raspberries, doing the military crawl, eating her toes and grabbing things with both hands. She doesn't like sitting, so we have to work on some sitting exercises.

BLOWING RASPBERRIES
Cassie has been blowing bubbles with her spit but it has been difficult to capture her in action. Here is something that she also likes to do (with lots of drool too)!
MILITARY CRAWL
While she cannot crawl yet, Cassie can lift her bum really high to move herself.  She hasn't figured out how to push up on her hands while doing so (thank god!) but she can rotate/pivot on her tummy to change direction.

EATING TOES
A picture says a thousand words...
GRABBING WITH BOTH HANDS
Cassie finally shows some interest in toys now, and has pretty good hand-eye co-ordination, a trait inherited from daddy, not from clumsy mommy.
Now that she is now 6 months, we are going to start her on solids!  She seems interested in big people food so we do not anticipate resistance.  First on the list will be rice cereal.
