She just had her 18 month check-up/shots and is now over 22 pounds and is 84 cm tall. She's quickly becoming a big girl! In fact, Cassidy did not cry or even flinch at the shot/needle. She watched the needle go into her arm, looked confused, then when the doctor smiled at her, she smiled back! At 18 months, this is her new look.
Earlier in the week, there was a free event at work, and mommy lined up for 30 minutes in the sun for this bee balloon and battled it home on the skytrain. Luckily, Cassidy enjoyed playing with it... but the bee did not survive. Within 12 hours, it was shriveled up plastic!
Cassidy continues to enjoy daycare and we finally have 4 days a week starting September (after being on the wait list since December!!). Here she is engaging in some girl talk with Toddler O, her daycare cam twin; they are probably gossiping about the boys.In terms of eating, we have had mild success. Cassie is interested in trying big people food, but often spits it back out or just tosses it onto the ground. Here are some shots of her eating, yet all the photos contain something unusual. Can you spot what doesn't fit?
1. That's a large bag of Cheerios.
2. Someone is trying apple slices but spat out mac and cheese!
3. That cheese in her mouth is fake! It's felt cheese from IKEA.
4. So much thread...
To celebrate the 100th post, here's a then and now shot of grandma, mommy and Cassidy in front of daddy's workplace. The water fountain/installation is the same but no flowing water in 2015 due to water ban.
Happy 100th post!
