Week 18 - Crying, Screaming, Drooling, Gnawing... Teething?

Cassie has been Little Miss Grumpy this past week. With the excessive drooling and finger/clothes/toy eating, we finally figured out that she is teething (early for babies her age!).

Apart from the above signs, it's a bit hard to notice because we can only see her lower gums when she is crying wailing. When she cries, we can see some white bulging gums and a white dot peeking through.

Although Cassie rolled over a couple of times from tummy to back, it was by accident and she hasn't figured out how to do it consistently, which is a good thing for us.  What if she rolls under the couch or dining table, or rolls somewhere and we accidentally step on her?  Here she is enjoying tummy time when she is stuck from rolling.  Sometimes, she gets tired and lies on her stomach with her head down. Other times, she will overexert herself until she spits up, but she seems to think it's funny and laughs while spewing.

Finally, she is more aware of her hands and feet, which has been a good distraction from all the rolling.  Does she look like Mr Burns with her clasped hands?  "Ex.......cellent!!"

We hear that the next phase is feet eating.... ERRR???!!!  OCD mommy is not looking forward to it!
